There is obviously a great deal of power in being able to hide certain search results from the majority of searchers. With this power however, comes great responsibility. This responsibility becomes even more important if one considers that there are currently no guidelines to help guide us through the murky waters of morality.

Sweetter es un servicio de microblogging, en el que uno puede escribir que es lo que está haciendo, lo que estás pensando o simplemente puedes escribir lo que se te ocurra, al igual que en Twitter , con la diferencia que Sweetter, la gente vota el mensaje y esos votos van incrementando o disminuyendo tu karma.

Hace unos días atrás les comenté sobre un servicio que permitía programar Tweets para poder publicarlos en Twitter en una fecha y hora predeterminada, el mismo se llamada twuffer.  Resulta que hoy,  leyeno el blog DownloadSquad, me entero de otro servicio similar llamado Future Tweets.

TweetVolume es un nuevo servicio que te permite comparar la popularidad de las palabras y frases en Twitter.

Hace un tiempo recibí un par de emailS a través del formulario de contacto, en los cuáles me sugerían la posibilidad de enviar una introducción, más un enlace de los artículos que publicamos en GeeksRoom a Twitter.    Por lo que me decidí y comenzé a enviar en forma automática la introducción de los post, más el enlace al mismo.

No se si a ustedes les ha sucedido, pero a mí si, en que un par de veces, que estaba muy apurado y a la vez quería enviar un tweet, me pasaba del límite de los 140 carácteres que te permiten incluir en los minipost.  Cosa que me hacía perder tiempo y tenía que reescribir el mensaje para que entrara la idea y ustedes bien saben que a veces, ciertas ideas cuestan explicarlas en 140 espacios!.

Monitter es un servicio que nos permite ver que sucede en Twitter.  Utilizando 3 palabras claves, nos permite ver en tiempo real quién y qué se dice sobre un tema en especial.

Pero no se crean que recibirán una cantidad impresionante de tweets y en distintos idiomas, pues no es así.  Este servicio tiene un par de filtros que nos permiten focalizar un área geográfica, además del idioma.

Aquellos que dependen mucho del sistema de microbloging llamado Twitter y en especial a los que les encanta contabilizar, en forma constante, cuántos seguidores tienen que leen sus estados de ánimo, los post de sus blogs o cualquier otra cosa que se les encante escribir en Twitter, ahora tienen una herramienta más para sufrir y hacerse el bocho (pensar y pensar cosas que no valen la pena).  Se trata de una herramienta en línea que nos permite conocer quién deja de seguir nuestros miniposts, llamada Qwitter (cambian la T por la Q y en inglés se pronuncia casi similar que “quitter”, que significa que una persona renuncia facilmente a algo o se dá por vencido muy facilmente).

Twitter has seen remarkable growth, even though it always seems as though you are sending your status message into a void. Sometimes the pebble drops down that deep well and there is not even the sound of a splash. Did anyone see your tweak? Did they care? Hearing back is essential to confirm that it was worth the effort, even though 140 characters is easy to fire off.

That is why Plurk seems to find its advocates, since your conversations are attached to your initial comment. This morning I noted that Twitter Search now gives me my chitchat, in a very pleasing format.
